'New Year's Rockin' Eve' Dominates

“Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest” outperformed its combined network competition in viewers and young adults, ABC said Friday.

The ABC New Year’s bash topped every other primetime show during the week by wire margins in total viewers and adults 18-49.

The show, which featured such popular acts as The Jonas Brothers, Taylor Swift and The Pussycat Dolls, also drew its biggest adult 18-49 audience in 3 years and top adults 18-34 in 5 years.

Dick Clark and Ryan Seacrest hosted the festivities from Times Square which reached freezing temperatures of below five degrees.

Grammy award winning solo artist Fergie returned to host the West Coast portions of the special, and for the first time country star Kellie Pickler was the Times Square roving correspondent.
