Kanye West Releases 35 Minute Directorial Debut Runaway

Much like everything else in his life, Kanye West’s much-anticipated directorial debut is epic, overstated and artistically bold — and going over very well among his fans and most impressively, his naysayers too.

The embattled rapper premiered the 35-minute rap opera over the weekend to critical acclaim and massive viewership, garnering over 1.2 million views on YouTube alone at time of publishing.

Former Victoria’s Secret model Selita Ebanks co-stars in the film as a Phoenix who falls to earth and soon falls in love with West.

The film features songs from West’s new album My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, most notably a song featuring Rihanna and a slew of other artists called “All Of The Lights”.

The song, which garnered much buzz online when a snippet of it leaked weeks ago, features a whopping 11 artists including Alicia Keys, Elton John, Fergie, John Legend, The Dream, Tony Williams, Kid Cudi, Charlie Wilson, Ryan Leslie, La Roux’s Elly Jackson, and the aforementioned Rihanna.
