George Lopez “Happy” To Have Conan O’Brien As Lead-In [AUDIO]
Funny man George Lopez called Ryan’s radio show Tuesday to chat about what it’s like to have Conan O’Brien now as his late night lead in on TBS and all the exciting things happening on the Warner Bros. lot where they both shoot their shows.
“It’s very exciting on the lot!” George told Ryan. “Now with Ellen [Degeneres] there, and Coco and me down on the other side…it’s quite the place Warner Brothers!”
O’Brien’s debut show received 4.2 million viewers, beating out Leno, Letterman, Stewart and Colbert, giving Lopez passing off incredible numbers to Lopez.
“I’m in a happy place, I’m happy Conan is there, really!” explained Lopez. “I think it’s a great combination!”
When Ryan asked what is was like to be on cable versus being part of a network, he told Ryan that he loved cable but admitted, “there is still some language restrictions…I’ve tested the waters…bilingually.” All jokes aside, George added that he couldn’t be more happy with the viewers’ responses. “Hopefully this what everybody thought it would be!”
Lopez’s show airs Monday through Friday at midnight on TBS following O’Brien 11PM.
