Season 11 of “Dancing With The Stars” may not yet be over, but talks of next season’s celebrity line-up are already heating up the blogs filled with chatter of what producers are looking for to spice up the hit show. It is rumored that “Dancing With The Stars” will be adding a same sex couple to the mix of historically opposite sex pairings. Wednesday, Ryan spoke to Portia De Rossi – now known as Portia DeGeneres – about the possibility of her starring on season 12 as a member of that same sex dancing pair.

When Ryan jumped to the conclusion that Portia would pass on a “Dancing” opportunity, Portia told him to not count her out just yet.

“I used to be a ballet dancer,” explained Portia. “It’s not completely a pass. You never know.”

Do you think this former “Ally McBeal” star will add DWTS to her list of starring roles? We think so!

In the meantime, the blonde-haired Australian marks a new chapter in her life with her book, “Unbearable Lightness: A Story of Loss and Gain” which confronts her deepest wounds of battling her sexuality and eating disorder. Portia tells Ryan, “I felt that I wasted 15 years of my life suffering really badly from eating disorder and although I couldn’t get that time back maybe something positive can come from it.”

On the outside Portia is an undeniably beautiful blonde-haired beauty, but on the inside she harbors a very taunting past. Portia tells Ryan that for one and a half years, “every single day I would wake up and worry about what I ate the night before and how I was going to burn calories.” She would even run on a treadmill during her lunch breaks on set.

Portia may have seemed to have that stick-thin Hollywood body that everyone admired, but to her closest friends and family, they knew there was something wrong. They were right. For years Portia suffered from sever eating disorders including bulimia.

Despite her challenges described in “Unbearable Lightness,” Portia wants those going through the same challenges as she did that “you can come a really long way, and you can have a fairy tale ending.” Through her marriage with Ellen DeGeneres and healthy lifestyle, Portia has received her fairy tale ending!

So what’s next for this inspiring actress and author? It is rumored that “Dancing With The Stars” is in talks of having a same sex couple for next year… do you think we will see Portia next season? Portia tells Ryan, “You never know.”

Portia will be signing copies of “Unbearable Lightness” today at Borders in Westwood in Los Angeles at 7:00 pm. Make sure to pick up your copy!
