New Paramore Video for “Playing God” Shot in Hayley Williams’ House [VIDEO]
Who knew that Hayley Williams had an inner Lady Gaga? In Paramore‘s newest music video for “Playing God”, the lead singer shows the boys what happens when they hurt her. The music video was shot entirely at Williams’ house in Franklin, Tennessee and was directed by Brandon Chesbro, the same director who worked on their “Careful” and “The Only Exception” music videos.
With her pink hair, fashion forward sunglasses and the innocent face she has while poisoning some boys at a tea party, Williams reminds us a little bit of Gaga! The song is off of the band’s most recent album, “Brand New Eyes” which came out on September 20, 2009.
In a recent interview at BBC radio, the band explained “we’ve had to sacrifice for success,” and that Williams restricts the number of interviews she does on tour because “she’s being sensible…with our traveling, with as many shows, it’s hard for any vocalist to stay healthy and keep that up. She’s just being cautious.”
The band recently just took home the Best Alternative Award at the EMA’s in Madrid and have just been nominated for Favorite Rock Band at the People’s Choice Award in 2011 along with bands Daughtry, Linkin Park, Maroon 5 and Nickelback.
