Cher Shocked By Unexpected Run-In with Rescued Chilean Miners [AUDIO]
Music legend Cher called “On-Air with Ryan Seacrest” to chat her upcoming film “Burlesque”, her run-in with the Chilean miners, her turquoise g-string, and working with Christina Aguilera and Julianne Hough.
The Goddess of Pop was honored with her hand and heelprints footprints immortalized in cement at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in Hollywood Thursday when a double decker tour bus drove by, offering her a load full of cheer and applause by none other than the Chilean miners! Unbeknownst to Cher, Ryan broke the identity of the ‘tourists’ to her, resulting with an “OMG…they must have thought I was crazy” response from Cher as well as shout out to her assistant Jennifer to repeat the news. While on discussion of Cher’s cement hand & footprint experience, Ryan noted Cher’s assemble and in particular, her turquoise thong! Cher’s response? “At least I had the presence of mind to put it on!”
While Cher may have not known who the double-decker cheerleaders were, she did know she’s always wanted to “sing in a film since [she] was 4 years old,” adding her delay in pursuing the goal was set by being on the road when the opportunity of “Mamma Mia!” came through. However, now fulfilling that dream with the much anticipated “Burlesque”, Cher stars alongside Christina Aguilera and Julianne Hough whom she offered a little insight to.
As for Xtina, Cher recounted the curvaceous singer’s initial nerves as “she didn’t know which Cher she was going to be working with.” As for Julianne Hough, Cher confessed “she couldn’t have been sweeter” and that she is a “game girl” who is up for anything.
With “Burlesque” hitting theaters November 24, and her Vegas show wrapping up, what’s next for Cher? Hopefully an album; Cher divulged she’s “trying to do a new album and working with some boys in Nashville” as well as included she’s “quick in the studio so it won’t take long.”
