2010 was undoubtedly the year of the Gleek. The year where musical theater nerds, band geeks and high school misfits of all sorts, found their voice in a little TV show called “Glee.” In addition to infectious covers of our favorite pop hits, much of the fast rising success of the show can be attributed to the parade of memorable celebrity cameos.  Here are our top 10 celebs that had us wishing we were students at William McKinley High School:

10. Molly Shannon

Hitting “Glee” as the new astronomy teacher and badminton coach, Molly’s exchanges a few jabs with cheerleading coach, Sue Sylvester. In our opinion, Molly cam out as the Superstar.

9. Charice

Known as Lea Michele’s character, Ms. Rachel Berry’s arch-rival, Charice sings her way into some drama at William McKinley High School. Who doesn’t love watching Lea get mad?

8. Olivia Newton John

Singing along side Sue Sylvester in their remake of “Let’s Get Physical,” you can’t help but admire this ex “Grease” star in the Madonna inspired episode.

7. Josh Groban

Returning to the show twice, music prodigy, Groban hit the season finale as one of the celebrity judges at the regional singing competition.

Blonde haired beauty, Chenoweth, played the rarely sober character, April Rhodes. Performing songs including “Home” from “The Wiz,” Chenoweth provides all the Gleeks with laughs.

Marking a freakish resemblance to Lea Michele, Menzel blows us away with an acoustic version of ‘Poker Face’ once revealing her identity as Rachel Berry’s biological mother.

4. Neil Patrick Harris

Playing Bryan Ryan, Mr. Schuesters’ old high school glee club rival acts is the all-time scrooge when he tries to cut the Glee club out of pure jealousy. Despite his cold heart, Neil performed a jaw-dropping rendition of Aerosmith’s “Dream On” alongside Matthew Morrison, which had every girl swooning over his good looks and effortless voice.

3. Gwyneth Paltrow

Forget acting in movies, Paltrow has found her new gig in music. Playing a substitute teacher at William McKinley High School, Paltrow grabs the male audience with her sultry performance of Cee-Lo’s, “F*** You.”

2. John Stamos

Capturing the hearts of all the soccer moms out there, Stamos stars as heartthrob and dentist, Dr. Carl. One thing is for certain, it’s always a full house when Stamos enters the scene.

1. Britney Spears

Oops, she did it again! Britney knocked her guest appearance on Glee out of the park, landing her the number one spot on our top ten list. Britney’s ultimate comeback. We hope to see her come back to William McKinley High School very soon!
