International supergroup The Black Eyed Peas dropped by “On Air with Ryan Seacrest” Friday to chat about their new album, how they remain so close, and Taboo revealed some very exciting news.

When Ryan asked how the group manages to keep up with the trends and stay so futuristic, frontman told Ryan that they travel all over the world and when he DJs he watches the crowd.

“I’m listening to the DJs,” he told Ryan. “Seeing what the crowd reacts to…if you drop a new joint and someone goes into their pocket and starts texting, you know that’s not a good time.”

When Ryan asked how after all these years they are still together unlike other groups who have broken up over the years, Taboo said that it’s their chemistry. “Our chemistry outside of being on the stage.” He then added that their friendship is what keeps them going and that they truly, “trust each other.”

The group has a new album out, “The Beginning”, which follows their last album, “The E.N.D. (Energy Never Dies)”. The group revealed that the inspiration behind the title was the “shift in culture” and the music industry. After stating that the music industry is in a “new era” thanks to social media such as Twitter, the group “anticipated” a new beginning. “We anticipated that there was going to be a shift in culture…it’s a whole new era. Because there’s an end, let’s not close it,” Will.I.Am said, “let’s start nothing new.” One of the hit songs on the album, “The Time (Dirty Bit),” inspired by famous Dirty Dancing song, “(I’ve Had) The Time of My Life,” was a play off from their last hit song, “I’ve Gotta Feeling.” Will. I Am revealed that he imagined that person who was going out on, ‘I Gotta Feeling’, coming home and being asked how the night went. Will. I. Am said,”And they’d go…’you know? I had the time of my life…I just can’t get enough.”

When Ryan asked Fergie what direction she saw herself going in considering she does everything from singing, to acting to being a designer, Fergie said she didn’t know. “I like to do it all, just like you do Ryan,” she said. “I’ve got some big plans, we are going to do some very selective shows this year for me…I kind of need some break down because we have been touring a long time.”

Finally, Ryan asked the group what they are doing for the holidays. Will said he is going shopping with his nieces and nephews and Taboo revealed that he is going to be spend time with his family and his beautiful wife who is pregnant. Fergie revealed that she is going to North Dakota with her husband actor Josh Duhamel to make snow angels.
