While half of the country was in awe of Monday night’s rare total lunar eclipse, the other half was either asleep or cursing at the rain gods who blanketed most of Southern California forcing residents to miss the celestial show that won’t occur  for another 400 years or so. If you part of the latter, the wise ways of the internet are here to save the day yet again, this time with a time-efficient way of seeing the eclipse from the comfort of your computer.

Scientific photographer William Castleman shot this beautiful time lapse video of the entire eclipse, and edited it down to a cool two minutes for those of us with notoriously short attention spans, especially when it comes to watching rocks orbit.
