Steven Tyler Has Seen Top ‘Idol’ Contestant, Hopes Viewers See Too [AUDIO]
Freshman “American Idol” judge Steven Tyler called “On Air with Ryan Seacrest” Friday to talk about his much anticipated debut on the show.
“I’m smothered in hot heaping helpings of happiness,” said Tyler with palpable enthusiasm of his first week on the show. “I’ve never done TV like this. [Aerosmith has] done videos, but I’ve never done TV and watched back… they’re are so many beautiful moments, it’s pretty trippy.”
Tyler also spoke about what kind of outcome he’d like to see result from his first season on “Idol.”
“I want to see that I have taken on [the show] where we thought we’d find that magic person, and I want to see them standing in front of me.”
For Jimmy Kimmel, the combination of Tyler, Jennifer Lopez, and Randy Jackson, basically put, brings forth opportunities to learn one another’s, shall we say, culture. As Ellen K. brought up Kimmel’s pun “awkward interracial high-five,” Tyler was all laughs.
