“American Idol” producer Nigel Lythgoe phoned in to chat with Ryan “On Air with Ryan Seacrest” Wednesday morning about his recent Twitter disclaimers regarding tonight’s ‘Idol’ episode.

The Brit, aka @dizzyfeet, recently tweeted “If you don’t like crude British humor don’t watch the first minute of #americanidol. If you don’t like TALENT don’t watch at all this week ;)”

Niegel’s warning regards an “American girl” in the beginning of tonight’s episode who’s performance did not grant her a golden ticket, yet did get her some air time apparently as Nigel explained he “kept it in the show because  I thought it was absolutely hilarious, I couldnt stop laughing.”

Although Ryan revealed he suggested they not air the girl, Nigel dismissed the concern as he confused he “laughed for around 3 1/2 minutes”!

Whether you’re into “British humor” or not, expect to see some serious singers this evening and throughout the remainder of ‘Idol’ as Nigel remarked he’s “thrilled this season with the talent.”
