Serene Branson

UPDATE: CBS 2 released the following statement on Branson Monday morning:

Serene Branson was examined by paramedics on scene immediately after her broadcast. Her vital signs were normal. She was not hospitalized. As a precautionary measure, a colleague gave her a ride home and she says that she is feeling fine this morning.

Serene Branson unintentionally became an internet meme late Sunday night following the Grammy Awards when she fumbled a report from outside the Staples Center. The CBS 2 reporter struggled to pronounce words after several attempts to give a recap of the music awards show. Within minutes, her name was trending worldwide on Twitter and YouTube videos of her report popped up everywhere.

Branson was reportedly hospitalized following the broadcast for a possible stroke, which would explain the disintegration of her speech.
