Emmy award winning actor Neil Patrick Harris joined us in studio Wednesday morning to chat “On Air with Ryan Seacrest” about being a dad (with partner of 5 years David Burtka), his upcoming flick “Beastly”, as well as talks “Smurfs” the movie.

On being a father to twins, Harris admits “it’s really expensive,” jokingly explaining “we have to buy breast milk because we keep trying to pump and it’s not happening. We have to have it shipped in from San Jose.”

As to the much anticipated “Smurfs” movie, Harris reveals “Gayma Mays from ‘Glee’ plays my wife…I’m an ad executive and I get this box and open it to find living smurfs invade my house.” Adding, “Hank Azaria plays Gargamel and is real life too, so it’s really just the 3 of us and we we’re looking at little jelly dots [for Smurfs] while shooting.”

Harris says we can expect “Smurfs” to hit theaters this coming summer, yet if you can’t wait that long to catch Neil Patrick Harris in a flick, you’re in luck as he also has upcoming movie “Beastly” due March 4.

Harris describes the “sleek visual film” as a “modern take on ‘Beauty and the Beast’ from the beast’s perspective-an alpha male high school guy who aggravates Mary-Kate Olsen’s character and she casts a spell on him to make him ugly” when he then is sent to live alone by his wealthy parents in attempts to find what is wrong with him is where Harris’s character as the blind tutor is in need to home-school him.

Harris revealed “I got to play blind so that’s why I wanted to do it” adding, “I didn’t want to act like I couldn’t see the glass in front of me…so got these completely opaque contacts so I couldn’t see a thing.”
