In addition to voting via phone and text message, for season 10 of “American Idol,” producers have added the capability to vote from your computer. And just like any new technology, it can sometimes be tricky to navigate so we’re sharing this guide so you’ll be able to vote for your favorites with ease every week leading up to the finale.

To cast your vote online, you must have a Facebook account. Then visit and follow the links to submit a vote for your favorite contestant.

Voting opens after the last performance of the East coast broadcast of any performance show and closes two hours after the Hawaii broadcast.

On the voting page, select your favorite contestant, activating an orange box around their photo. Then type in the ‘CAPTCHA’ security code, and select “VOTE.”

After your first vote, do it again! You may vote up to 50 times per performance show.
