Following news that Charlie Sheen had been fired from his hit CBS show “Two and a Half Men,” rumors were rampant that John Stamos among others were in talks to replace the embattled actor. Stamos called in to “On Air with Ryan Seacrest” Friday to put the rumors to rest and set the record straight about where he stands on the situation.

“Nobody has talked to me officially about [replacing Sheen],” said Stamos who has been seen recently making guest appearances on “Glee” and “Entourage.”

Though flattered by the outpouring of support to get him on the show, Stamos is not keen on the idea.

“I don’t want to replace anyone, especially Charlie Sheen,” explained Stamos. “It’s just not where my head’s at.”

Stamos called Ryan from the set of “Law & Order: SVU” where he was shooting a cameo for the May 4 episode.
