British chef and Emmy Award winning food revolutionist Jamie Oliver is back with season two of “Jamie Oliver’s Food Revolution” premiering April 12 on ABC–this time taking on La La Land, which serves as his biggest challenge yet!

With Los Angeles being the second largest city in the United States, Jamie faced the challenge of getting into the nation’s second largest school district, which season two will reveal with how the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) slammed the door in Jamie’s face. Jamie takes on the opposition in the premiere episode by first aiming to win the support of the L.A. parents and teachers in hopes of appealing the LAUSD’s decision to lock him out of the school lunch program.

Season two also documents the opening of ‘Jamie’s Kitchen‘ which he opened in Westwood, with the hopes to provide educational tools to combat the obesity epidemic. We’ll also see Jamie’s attendance at a school lunch convention, where he discovers a seminar advocating flavored milk in schools! As well as Jamie staging a dramatic demonstration, which we’ll see falls short with the community. And even Jamie’s process with the creation of the healthy fast food menu at Patra’s Burger joint, which Jamie revealed in an interview on “On Air with Ryan Seacrest” last month.

As season one not only won an Emmy, but also was recently named as a recipient of the forthcoming Television Academy Honors exemplifying “television with a conscience,” we’re sure season two will deliver!

Tune in April 12 for the premiere of  season 2 on ABC at 8pm, and before then, be sure to check out Jamie’s Food Revolution: Rediscover How to Cook Simple, Delicious, Affordable Meals which hits shelves on April 5!
