Anne Hathaway phoned in Friday to talk on “On Air with Ryan Seacrest” about her new animated movie “Rio” as well as avoided the pressure to give us deets on upcoming catwoman role in “The Dark Knight Rises” yet, did fill us in on her possible “Glee” appearance!
Anne explained for “Rio,” she had to learn Portuguese, admitting, “I did actually just a tiny tiny bit…I have three Portuguese lines in the whole film and I could only say two of them well and the first two only took a few takes and the other one took, I kid you not, like an hour to do!”
As for the rumors of Anne guest appearing on hit Fox show “Glee,” Anne honestly confessed, “I hope I’m doing it. [Ryan Murphy] asked me at the Golden Globes and I said of course, and I havent heard of it since.” As to what role she’d play, “I asked him if I could play Kurt’s long lost Aunt who is a lesbian and comes and helps him with what it’s like as a gay teen.”
Although Anne was upfront regarding “Glee,” she remained mum about discussing her role as Catwoman in Chris Nolan‘s upcoming “The Dark Knight Rises” explaining, “the most beautiful thing about this project is that when you sign your contract they make you take an omertà, so I really can’t tell you a thing about it.”
As to how she’ll survive that, Anne admits “you cant say anthing from the beginning because people take key words and make whole articles about them.” Anne concluded, “there are so few surprises because of the internet and this one is worth waiting for.”
