Rebecca Black’s ‘Friday’ Video Surpasses 100 Million Views on YouTube
After growing on YouTube for 63 days and trending for countless weeks around the world on Twitter, Rebecca Black‘s much-talked about “Friday” video has joined the elite 100 million views club. In reaching this milestone, Rebecca joins the likes of Eminem, the ‘Charlie Bit My Finger’ babies, and the Sneezing Panda — all of whom have amassed over 100 million views on YouTube and even more on other video sites.
According to YouTube’s “Most Viewed” chart, “Friday” comes in as the 43rd most viewed video on the site, right behind the Black Eyed Peas‘ high energy video for “The Time.” Topping their chart is Justin Bieber‘s “Baby,” followed by Lady Gaga‘s “Bad Romance,” and Shakira‘s World Cup theme song “Waka Waka (This Time For Africa).”
In a show of appreciation for both her fans and otherwise, Rebecca tweeted Wednesday:
WE REACHED 100 MILLION VIEWS!! THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH! (LOVE OR HATE, IT DOESN’T MATTER TO ME!) <3 <3 <3 <3 http://twitpic.com/4ket4t
