Randy Jackson Says Pia Toscano’s Elimination Was Best Thing For Her [AUDIO]
Popular “American Idol” judge Randy Jackson phoned “On Air with Ryan Seacrest” Thursday to chat about Pia Toscano’s ‘Idol’ elimination, as well as “America’s Best Dance Crew” season 6 on MTV.
Randy weighs in on Pia’s shocking elimination in typical Randy lingo, “dude! It was so crazy…I think people just forgot to vote…they thought she would be safe.” Adding Jennifer Lopez, People’s ‘Most Beautiful Women’ in the world, Steven Tyler, and himself fought for her to stay despite, “not having another [Judge's Save], but we tried to challenge the producers.”
Despite her elimination Randy believes,”it’s probably one of the best things that’s happened to Pia, really, the press she’s gotten, Jimmy [Iovine's] already going to make a record with her at Interscope, just the love she’s got, it’s just amazing.” Adding, “it reminds me of Chris Daughtry who finished like fourth, Jennifer Hudson who got booted out early too..she’s going to be alright.”
Aside from “Idol,” Randy plays a pivotal role with MTV’s “America’s Best Dance Crew” which Randy reveals season 6 as, “a crazy season…we got some different flavors.” Along with different ‘flavors,’ the show also boosts different age groups, which Randy describes includes, “kids from Jersey are like 13, 14 years-old and it goes up to 28, 30 years-old.” Not to mention the celebrity participation, like tonight’s epidose which Randy confirms, “Ke$ha’s in the house!”
