Over the past two weeks, YouTube music duo Karmin has rapped their way to nearly six million views on their unique cover of Chris Brown‘s hit “Look At Me Now,” featuring Busta Rhymes and Lil Wayne. Now the couple are exclusively premiering their next cover song on RyanSeacrest.com — Lil Wayne’s smash single “6 Foot 7 Foot.”

The song, which samples Harry Belafonte‘s “Day-O,” is the lead single from Lil Wayne’s ninth studio album, Tha Carter IV and given a softer twist with the melodic vocals of Karmin. Watch them perform it below and be sure to check their YouTube channel in the coming days for the full version!

Karmin also sat down for an interview with RyanSeacrest.com to talk about their quick rise to internet stardom, getting engaged to be married, and what the future holds for them.

In the interview, the duo revealed their manager, was the one who originally suggested they step outside their comfort zone and cover Chris Brown’s “Look At Me Now.”

“We told him he was crazy and we fired him,” joked Amy. “He said ‘you should really check this out… no one has really covered it yet and I think Amy would be able to really kill it.'” That she did, taking just two days to learn 14 pages of lyrics by some of the fastest rappers in the business, Busta Rhymes and Lil Wayne.

Two weeks later, the video has been seen on websites like Perez Hilton and Huffington Post, and the duo have performed on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show.” Numerous major producers have also reached out to work with Amy and Nick, including Timbaland, RedOne, Rodney Jerkins, Jermaine Dupri and Alex Da Kid.

“All these unbelievable producers, who have no reason to reach out to us, want to work [with us],” said Nick. “They’re excited, and they want to just add to what we have — they don’t want to change us.” In addition to having producers reach out, the two have also taken numerous meetings with record labels in LA and New York, exploring the opportunities for a major recording contract.

Amy and Nick also have high hopes of working with some of the music industry’s biggest talents, namely Kanye West.

“I personally think the man is a genius,” gushed Nick. “Working with Kanye… I think would be unbelievable.” Amy’s dream collaboration lies with an artist who just recently exploded onto the scene from the U.K., the very popular Jessie J. Having wanted to meet her since before she rose to fame, Amy explained, “she’s amazing.”

The on and off-camera couple talked about the recent engagement too, explaining “we didn’t really tell the whole social world — Facebook and everything — until last month. We became engaged in December, but it’ll actually be six years that we’ve been together this September,” said Nick. They plan to tie the knot in a “Forrest Gump-style” wedding in Amy’s childhood backyard in Nebraska on September, 10.
