Laker’s Executive Vice President of Business Operations, Jeanie Buss, called in to “On Air with Ryan Seacrest” to give Laker fans an update on the critical condition of Kobe Bryant‘s left ankle injury. Jeanie also divulges what Laker coach and boyfriend Phil Jackson is worried about, and why he mediates in the mornings during the first round of playoff.

Jeanie began by giving an update on the condition of the Lakers superstar, “Kobe opted not to have an MRI done yesterday, he sat out of practice yesterday, and got treatment. He’s listed as ‘day to day,’ but my money is always on Kobe Bryant. He can play through injury like no one I’ve ever seen.” Jeanie continues, “I would worry if it was anyone else but him. His will is so strong, and his ability to not focus on things that most people would be out with for at least a month. He won’t be denied. He knows he is the leader of this team, and he knows he has to be there for his teammates. He wants to win.”

However, what does the Phil Jackson the Lakers fearless zen master think? “He always worries about the first round, because thats where upsets happen. Your kinda seeing it right now with the Memphis and San Antonio series. We don’t want to be upset. We want to continue.”
