The countdown has begun! We’ve got less than one month away from Gaga’s Born This Way album release date (May 23rd) and in preparation, Lady Gaga’s hit the stage on “Ellen” Thursday, April 28th for the first ever “Judas” performance.

Gaga explains upcoming album Born This Way came from realizing, “pop culture is our religion and through self worship in terms of your identity and through honoring your identity and fighting for who you are…you can have more faith and hope in life and in the future.”

As for Gaga’s latest hit song, “Juads,” which she performed for the first time, she expresses, “some of you may feel like a Judas…may feel misunderstood by the world, and that is how I feel sometimes…I feel misunderstood and I think we all feel misunderstood sometimes. I really celebrate my identity and urge you to feel impassioned by what is magical inside of you. I live halfway between reality and fantasy, and that is who I am and that is what inspires me.”

“The Mother of all Little Monsters” told Ellen she felt “honored and privileged” to be there with such an “exciting audience.” Adding, it’s the audience and her fans who keep her going, confessing, “I’m always happy to be working for the fans…I’m quite excited to be tired…I’ve done over 210 Monster Balls…every night I feel invigorated by the crowd.”

Gaga also tapped into her funny side, joking with Ellen about her entrance, “I feel that you’re trying to out-do me,” laughingly contesting, “I could wear jeans…next time I’m wearing jeans and sneakers and I’m going to dance all around your stage.”

Upon talking simple fashion like jeans, Ellen asked Gaga what she wears as pajamas, in which she confessed, “it’s very funny and my best friends who often will crash at hotels where I’m at; they will come visit me on the road and they always call me a ‘Beauty Queen disaster.’  Because I wake up and my wigs falling off my head, and my mole is on the other side of face-my fake mole. It’s not fake, it’s just surreal.”

Gaga also shared she not only does “Birkham yoga,” which she warns,”I don’t want to suggest it because you’ll be very angry with me,” but also tries everyday to take 5 minutes for “compassionate thoughts.”
