Former season 6 “American Idol” winner Jordin Sparks phoned in Friday to “On Air With Ryan Seacrest” to chat about her return to the ‘Idol’ stage last night as well as reveal what’s behind her recently slimmed down bod and bikini Twitpic!

After OK magazine reported that Jordin said a ‘breakup led to weight loss,’ Ryan got down to business asking Jordan whether it was true or not. Jordin explained,”you know what, it was just one of those things and it just started instead of just talking about being active, I made it a priority.” Adding, “I was talking to somebody and then we just decided we would be friends and it was one of those things were I was turning 21 and New Years was coming and it was like I’m not going to start my resolution on New Years day, I’m going to try to start it early and just stick to it.”

Jordan shares the story behind her bikini twitpic (above) seen around the world as, “the funny thing was I just wanted to lay outside and I took a pic of the bathing suit cause I mixed and matched it and I was like, ‘oh this looks good! Should I post it, should I not?’ There was a little internal war going on…but it was for me personally a huge step cause if you would’ve asked me six months ago if I would’ve posted a picture, I would’ve said no, no, never!”

As for if it’s true Jordin’s weight loss mindset kicked in to gear upon a break-up and for revenge, she coyly suggests, “well if I had revenge, I hope it worked!”

Aside from Jordin’s new bod, she also has a new hit track entitled “I Am Women,” which she performed last night at ‘Idol’, and describes as, “it’s one of those songs that as soon as I heard it, ‘I was like are you serious? You’re playing this song for me?’ I was so surprised no one had taken it yet.”

Jordin furthers, “I’ve been recording since January and I couldn’t find the right thing and then that song came along and it was the exact thing I wanted to say, and that side of me has always been there it just hadn’t been let out yet.”
