American Idol” finalists Lauren Alaina and Scotty McCreery joined “On Air with Ryan Seacrest” to discuss which of last night’s performances was their most difficult, and what we can possibly expect from tonights finale.

When asked which song of the three was the most challenging for them. Scotty moans, “The original! They gave it to us late so we kinda had to learn it pretty quickly. So I was struggling. I had to go to the piano before I went on stage to work it out. It was about two minutes before we went on air. Its insane.” Due to Lauren’s most recent vocal concerns she simply scribbled the answer, “‘Like My Mother Does’ [due to the fact] ‘it was so emotional.’

For the first time in ‘American Idol’ history the finale will be lead by two teenage finalists, and when asked if this makes a difference Scotty responds, “Its definitely a plus for us, because we get a late call time, and we get to go home early. They can only work us so long. We enjoy that part of it. We’re just kids.”

When asked which of the three outfits Lauren wore last night Lauren reveals, by way of notes, that the “Cowboy Ballerina” indeed was her favorite. Aside from Lauren’s most recent vocal concerns she has been able not only remain healthy, but lose over 20 lbs., and has gone down three sizes!
