Dr. Gupta mentioned a list of radiation levels of individual cell phones. “They are all pretty much the same. The big thing though, look at the small print that came with your phone. When you read this it says it has all these great features, but you should also always hold the phone 5/8″ away from your head. Nobody does that obviously! People push it harder into their ear, especially when they can’t hear. So, it’s the exact opposite that people do.”

Dr. Gupta advises parents to wait to get their child a cell phone, “These types of problems that we are talking about, potential brain cancers take twenty to thirty years to develop. There have only been cell phones in popularity in this country over the last 15 years. Our kids are going to use them their entire life. The scale of exposure is going to be exponentially different.”
