Katie Couric Discusses Details Regarding New Daytime Talk Show [AUDIO]
Katie Couric joined “On Air with Ryan Seacrest” Friday to discuss her future plans after taking her first vacation in 32 years, her new syndicated daytime talk show, and new book “The Best Advice I Ever Got: Lessons From Extraordinary Lives.”
Katie hasn’t taken a vactiaon in a long time, and tells Ryan Seacrest “That’s why I’m really excited to just chill, enjoy myself and hang out with all my friends, because you get so busy you don’t get to see your friends anymore,” is what she looks most forward to.
Katie also gave some insight on what her new daytime talk show that is set to air in September 2012 and its content. “It’s going to deal with various issues, whether it’s technology and your kids, or bullying. It’s going to be very similar to what ‘The Today Show’ was back in the early days when Jeff Zucker, Matt and I did it together and sometimes it will be a single topic show.”
From news anchor to talk-show host to author, Katie really does it all. Katie spoke about new book “The Best Advice I Ever Got: Lessons From Extraordinary Lives” featuring big names like Beyonce, Chelsea Handler and Drew Brees to name a few and its concept as “It’s life lessons from all these accomplished people, and universal themes on how to deal with rejection, the importance of resilience and kindness on a day to day basis. There are all these great people who contributed. Doing something greater than yourself.
