Marc Anthony ‘Proud’ To Release ‘Rain Over Me’ with Pitbull; His First English Single in 10 Years [AUDIO]
Marc Anthony called into “On Air with Ryan Seacrest“ on Tuesday to talk about the dramatic season premiere of “HawthoRNe,” his newest collaboration with Pitbull “Rain Over Me”and giving President Obama a tour of Puerto Rico.
With the season premiere of “HawthoRNe” kicking off tonight, Marc told us “I don’t think anyone is going to expect what they are going to see in the premiere episode. When I sat down with Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith about coming back and they explained the arc and where they were taking it this season there was no way I could say no. They were going to push every envelope.”
In addition to his TV role, Marc is still working on new music, most recently being featured on Pitbull’s new single “Rain Over Me,” a track he says is a “great Summer track.” Marc hasn’t had a new English record out in about ten years and he said “I couldn’t be prouder, it’s a great time.” The single was produced by Lady Gaga‘s longtime hit maker RedOne and can be found on Pitbull’s new album out June 21.
Calling from Puerto Rico — where his parents hail from (Marc was born in New York City) — Marc was preparing to welcome President Obama and show him the best of what the island has to offer. This is the first time in 50 years that a sitting President has come to visit Puerto Rico. As far as what he’s going to show him Marc jokes that “He hasn’t cleared that with the Secret Service yet.”
