Melissa Gorga of the “Real Housewives of New Jersey” and her husband Joe Gorga joined “On Air with Ryan Seacrest” on Friday morning to take us inside the dramatic season of ‘Housewives,’ how she met her husband Joe and her new music career.

Melissa and Joe have been married for almost seven years and have three beautiful children. When you are around Melissa and Joe you can feel the love they have between them. So, was it love at first sight?

Joe tells us, “I was in Cancun. I was sitting in the pool and I had a girl on the right and a girl on the left. they were fighting over me. Kissing one, kissing the other one. As a was doing the turn, I saw this girl across the pool, curly hair, leopard bikini, sunglasses, I look over to my best friend while I’m holding these two girls and say ‘that’s my wife.'”

However, they did not even speak while in Cancun. It wasn’t until they got back to New Jersey that they randomly met.

“We were out, we were down at a beach club and he came up to me and said ‘you’re the girl form the pool,’ he was persistent. It took him a couple of times, I didn’t give him my number right a way,” Melissa says. “He freaked me out a bit, he told me what I had on, the hotel I was at, the sunglasses I had on, he remembered how my hair was.”

Melissa and Joe joined the cast of the “Real Housewives of New Jersey” this season. Joe is the brother of original “New Jersey Housewife” Teresa Guidice, this has caused some drama and controversy.

“This was her [Teresa] thing and she didn’t want us to come on board. I found out on a Friday, they called me up and said ‘We want you, we want to come interview you, we want to talk to you’ and by Sunday she called me and lost her mind.”

“I think that she was used to being the only Italian girl around. Because she had just her brother, they don’t have a lot of family.”

Brother and sister drama has also been brought into the show this season between Joe and Teresa. The tension erupted at the christening party for Joe’s son.

“It was a tough moment. I was holding in a lot of pain for a lot of years, and it happened. I was very embarrassed,” Joe explained.

“Me and my sister were cool. My problem was when my daughter was born. that was my biggest issue with my sister. She’ll say she doesn’t know what we’re talking about, but that was my issue,” Joe continued. “What happened was competition. My daughter was born and she was competitive with the kids.”

Like some of the other ‘Housewives,’ Melissa is following suit and is currently launching her music career. “I’m going to release it the end of July, hopefully with you,” Melissa says. Melissa will be debuting her ballad on an up coming episode of the “Real Housewives of New Jersey.”

“You’re going to see it, not this coming episode, but the following episode, you’re going to see me sing a cappella next to a piano. So, there is no auto-tune going on, this is real voice. I’m working with producers that produce songs for Britney and Beyonce.”

How does her music compared to the past “Housewives” attempts “I think they all have wonderful songs. I think it’s a little different though. I just think that everyone is going to be pleasantly surprised. It’s good, I like it. That was my first, as they go on they get better and better and better. The ballad is ridiculous,” Melissa says.
