EXCLUSIVE: New Trailer Debuts for Star-Studded Epic ‘Immortals’ [VIDEO]
It’s been years since Gerard Butler and his glistening six-pack burst onto the scene with the box office smash that was “300,” now the producers of the 2007 action flick are back with a new Greek war story of epic proportions. “Immortals” is set to hit theatres on November 11, but RyanSeacrest.com is exclusively giving you your first look at the all-new trailer for Relativity Media’s non-stop action thriller.
As is normally the case with Greek gods, “Immortals” features an expansive cast of gorgeous faces and ripped bodies, who clearly left no bench press untouched and spared no bottle of bronzer to prepare for the visually gratifying battle sequences in the film. Mickey Rourke stars as the “brutal and bloodthirsty” King Hyperion who squares up with Henry Cavill (Theseus), Stephen Dorff (Stavros), Frieda Pinto (Phaedra) and Kellan Lutz (Poseidon).
Though shot in a similar style to CGI-heavy “300,” Dorff recently told USA Today that “Immortals” will shed the pretension of “fancy accents and standing in front of a lot of green screens, which I’ve never been a big fan of. There are big sets, real props. If you look at Star Wars, the characters are laid out kind of like that. And I get to be Han Solo.” Still, best not to get too deep, even in Greek mythology, he says. “This is 300 meets Gladiator,” he says. “It’s an ab-fest.”
