Within the last two days, there has been a lot of buzz surrounding the hit show “Glee.” On Tuesday it was announced that three of the show’s main characters would be “graduating” from the famous fictional high school this upcoming season. One of those characters is Kurt Hummel, played by baby faced Chris Colfer. Chris joined On-Air with Ryan Seacrest this morning to discuss his recent second time Emmy nomination as well as the hit “Glee” tour, and his shocking departure from the show.

The “Glee” cast has just finished an international tour and Chris feels it went “really well.” Touring and performing for a live audience is an especially heartwarming experience for Chris because he gets “to see all the kids that you represent on the show right in front of you.” “Glee” does go to great lengths to keep the shows characters relatable and realistic and we can imagine it’d be quite an experience to see the inspiration for the characters singing along to all of the hit “Glee” songs.

But it seems everyone isn’t as fond of “Glee” as we are; namely Sue Sylvester (aka Jane Lynch). The no nonsense lady called into On-Air with Ryan Seacrest this morning to express her dismay about the upcoming, highly anticipated “Glee: The 3D Concert Movie“. Chris doesn’t necessarily agree with the cheerleading coach’s angry reaction: “She should be happy! We’re giving her another dimension to make fun of us on!” He’s quite the optimist!

The recent announcement that part of the Glee cast would be leaving the show has many fans up in arms, but Chris handles the news with the poise and maturity of a true star: “Well, to quote Oprah as she said when she was leaving her show: ‘No bitter, only sweet.'” That’s a great mindset to have, but how does he feel now that his time on “Glee” is up? “I definitely don’t want to leave but at the same time, kids they grow up and move on and if the show is going to be true to itself, then they have to acknowledge that. I’m fulfiled as a person and as an actor for what [my character] Kurt has done for so many people out there and what he’s done for me, so if it’s time to go, I’m fine with it.” His accepting response makes us feel a tiny bit better about our favorite characters leaving…kind of.

Now that audiences are well aware of the cast changes, it has many wondering how these characters will exit the show. While we’re sure that Glee fanatics have their own desires for the lovable Kurt Hummel, Chris wants one simple thing: “I’d love to see him walk off into the sunset with an internship at Vogue.” We’d like to see that happy ending, too. What do you think will happen to Kurt Hummel? Let us know in the comments!
