‘The Ponch’ Shares His Staycation Plans To Avoid ‘Carmageddon’ [AUDIO]

Erik Estrada called in to “On Air with Ryan Seacrest” to shares his staycastion strategy on how to avoid the traffic of the impending ‘Carmageddon’ traffic explosion, however he also warns of the impending sequal to this event coming sometime next year! Interestingly, while our producers contacted Erik they were humorously greeted by his unique ringback which was the theme song to ‘CHiPs;’ where Erik starred alongside Larry Wilcox as California Highway Patrol officers.

Officer Francis Llewellyn Poncherello aka “Ponch” reminds Los Angelenos, “they are going to shutdown the 405 freeway all the way from the 10 to the 101. Its just going to be terrible! People are going to have to detour left and right so they should just chill out and stay home.” What is Erik’s strategy to avoid the Los Angeles traffic? “I’m going down to Terranea and the Palos Verdes for the weekend. I’m going to play golf on Saturday for the LAPD charity event. Then were spending the rest of the week until Monday in Terranea which is a beautiful place.”

The Ponch recommends “Staycations are a good solution for those who can’t get out because of a previous commitment or they gotta just stay put and stay off that freeway as best you can.” Erik warned against next years sequal to “Carmageddon” saying, “You do know a year from now we are going to do it again, right? We gotta do this again so we can get the other half of the bridge!”
