Neil Patrick Harris Guest Hosts American Top 40
Neil Patrick Harris, two-time Emmy Award winner, 2010 People’s Choice Award winner and star of the CBS sitcom “How I Met Your Mother,” will guest host American Top 40 this weekend, July 16 and 17. In addition to counting down the Top 40 songs, NPH will answer questions directly from fans and talk about his latest feature film The Smurfs, which hits theaters July 29.
Neil is a man of many talents and we are thrilled to have him this weekend as guest host on AT 40. With his extensive television career, impressive film accomplishment, and stage talent, Neil got his start when he was first cast in the movie “Clara’s Heart” with Whoopi Golderg. Since then, Neil has gone on to do more than and a dozen films, including his latest film “The Smurfs,” which will be released on July 29th. However, he is still probably best known for his television roles in “Doogie Howser, M.D.” and “How I Met Your Mother,” among others. He had a stellar guest appearance, as Bryan Ryan, on the popular hit “Glee.” In addition to TV and film, Neil has also appeared on Broadway and has also tried his hand at directing. Last year he directed a production of “Rent” at the Hollywood Bowl, in which he cast Nicole Scherzinger as Maureen and she stole the show with her performance of “Over The Moon.” [WATCH]
