After a few months touring in Europe, Coldplay put on their first U.S. show at UCLA Wednesday night. On their set list was their new song “Charlie Brown” which was very well received among the concert goers. Don’t be fooled by the funny title that’s borrowed from the simple classic cartoon because there’s nothing simple about the band’s new melody. “Charlie Brown” is an amazing song that’s packed with the same passion, talent, and purity that is also evident in the band’s most recent single “Every Teardrop Is a Waterfall“, as well as all of their previous albums.

Their new song is bursting at the seams with energy and soul, something that the band has become known for. The lyrics tell a tale of freeing oneself from the confines of routines and “running wild.” The band members themselves “ran wild” on stage, creating a fun-to-watch spectacle. Coldplay has been honing their skills on their tour in Europe and have definitely mastered the art of putting on a great performance. What we love is how they are really having a blast on stage! When the band is having fun, you know the audience is, too. \
