Joel McHale Wants To Wear Something ‘Really Flowing With Lace’ To Kim Kardashian’s Wedding [AUDIO]
Joel McHale called into On-Air with Ryan Seacrest Wednesday to talk about his new movie, ‘Spy Kids: All The Time In The World in 4-D,’ and whether or not he will be attending The Kardashian wedding.
We’re used to this foul mouthed commentator making us laugh from our living rooms, but we’re open and excited to see how he does as a character in theaters. Joel explained to Ryan what 4-D even is, revealing that it incorporates the olfactory senses into the viewing experience: “4-D is very exciting. It smells! This movie has actual aromas. You basically play along as an audience member so whenever my character walks on screen, it smells like lavender.” Oh, right. Joel assures that this PG movie is a lot less raunchy than his stand-up acts: “It’s a good family movie and I do a lot less cursing.” That’s a relief!
Although “Keeping Up With the Kardashians‘” is one of Joel’s favorite topics to discuss on The Soup, he didn’t get an invite to the glamorous wedding. “You’re not going to believe this. My invite must have been lost in the mail. I cannot believe it. I thought for a moment that they would have me [at the wedding] but then I did review some of ‘The Soup’ jokes that we made about them and that took like two days to get through and I realized, ‘Hm. Maybe they’re not going to invite me after all.'” Despite the absence of an invitation, Joel can still dream! He says he would have worn something “really flowing” with “lace” if he was lucky enough to grace the guest list.
Now that we’ve cleared up that he’s not attending the wedding of the year, maybe he can use this weekend to take a break from his jam-packed schedule. Although he is very appreciative of the opportunities he’s been given, he admits to sometimes taking a step back and thinking, “This is ridiculous I’m so busy.” But the moment he steps on camera and cracks a wise joke with that big smile of his, it’s clear that this comedian is in love with what he does, even if Jersey Shore wins more awards than he does.
