Many big artists, including Justin Beiber and the infamous Rebecca Black, have been discovered on through their covers on YouTube, so in a hope to become the next Beiber, thousands of aspiring artists are taking to YouTube trying to be discovered. Here are the top 5 YouTube talents, and their covers that propelled them to stardom.

5. Christina Grimmie
This 17-year-old girl actually possesses some talent, and it shows in her cover of Miley Cyrus’s ‘Party In The USA’. Since she posted her ‘Party In The USA’ cover, her YouTube channel has skyrocketed to over 10 million views and is now the 35th most subscribed channel of all time. 4. Megan Nicole
ANother 17-year-old girl with vocals and guitar skills way above her years. Megan Nicole is most highly known throughout YouTube for her cover of King’s of Leon ‘Use Somebody’, skyrocketing her views to over 81 million! Music labels did not ignore her talent, and she was swooped up and is recording with producers such as Tom Mgrdichian (Earth, Wind & Fire) and Chris Cox, who helped launch careers of the ultra-famous Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera and Paula Abdul. Tyler Ward has made a name for himself through his souldful covers and guitar mash-ups of famous songs, many of which are Taylor Swift. Tyler differs from many YouTube stars who are hoping for record labels. Ward has labeleing himself as an ‘independent’ and is trying to help other YouTube talents such as Cody Simpson, Katy James, and Megan Nicole. 2. Boyce Avenue
Boyce Avenue is the second most viewed band on YouTube behind Linkin Park. many say her voice is reminicent of the Goo-Goo Dolls lead singer. With nearly 400 million views, Boyce Avenue’s covers are sometimes more popular than the originial song. Boyce Avenue has recently released their second album with Universal Republic but has chosen to work under their own label, 3 Peace Records.
