Carrie Underwood ‘Has Half An Album Done Right Now’ [AUDIO]
The former “American Idol” winner hasn’t released an album since “Play On” back in 2009. She is currently in Nashville making new music for her fans. She shares, “I’ve been writing quite a bit. And I’ve been in the studio a little bit. So I probably have about half an album done right now and trying to fill in the gaps and figure out what pieces of the puzzle are missing, but it’s a fun time right now figuring everything out.”
She has plenty to write about since her and her hockey husband, Mike Fisher, just celebrated their one year wedding anniversary back in July. She says, “We started out you know being married, he was still living in Ottawa, and I was living in Nashville. And now, we actually live together under the same roof. That has changed. It’s actually nice having him around.”
Carrie will taking a little break from Nashville because she’ll be performing at the sold out iHeartRadio Music Festival in Vegas happening on September 23rd & 24th. She won’t be premiering any of her new music just yet, but she will be belting out her classics. She states, “It’s a little too early to debut anything. I just want to make sure it’s alright before I let it go, but it’s such a short set that everybody plays. You can kind of just do the best of the best. And I feel like everybody that’s going to be there is going to be getting a pretty amazing show.”
If you want to see more of Carrie Underwood, she will be returning, alongside with, Brad Paisley, to host the 2011 “CMA Awards” in November.
