Jane Lynch Will Perform ‘Very Simple Dance Steps’ As Emmy Host This Weekend [AUDIO]
Jane Lynch, most notable for being Sue Sylvester, the overly aggressive cheerleading coach on Fox’s “Glee,” called into “On Air With Ryan Seacrest” Wednesday to share her anxieties for hosting the 63rd Primetime Emmy Awards show this Sunday!
Jane will definitely be using her comedic chops to host the most prestigious award show in Hollywood, but she admits, “I’m nervous I gotta be honest with you.” When it comes to preparing for the big night, she has no idea what the producers have in store for her, which probably doubles the comedian’s anxiety! She says, “I don’t know if I’m gonna be flown in by a helicopter…or a big white horse, I don’t know.”
To host a show “can be a nice gig,” the “40-Year Old Virgin” actress admits, but “it’s the kiss of death” if she messes up her act! When asked if she will be able to sleep the night before, she says she has “free flowing anxiety…[in a] deep subconscious level.”
The award show had many notable hosts including Ellen DeGeneres, Neil Patrick Harris, Jimmy Fallon, and Ryan Seacrest himself, and Jane will have the opportunity to be among the ranks of one of the few selected Emmy hosts! What should we expect from the Illinois native? She dishes that she will be having a singing number and “very simple dance steps.” Whatever her act is, she will have an unforgettable performance that will be sure to make us laugh out loud!
While Glee is far from her mindset, she reminds us of the Season 3 premiere of “Glee” on Fox on September 20th! But more importantly, make sure to tune in to watch Jane Lynch host the 63rd annual Emmy awards show at the Nokia Theatre LA Live in Los Angeles this Sunday only on Fox!
