Gerard Butler Was Shot ‘Three Times Actually’ On Set Of ‘Machine Gun Preacher’ [AUDIO]
Actor Gerard Butler called into “On Air With Ryan Seacrest” to talk about his newest action-packed movie called “Machine Gun Preacher“!
The Scotland native reinacts a true story about an ex-convict named Sam Childers who was a “crazy gun-torching drug addict in Pennsylvania.” When his character reaches rock bottom, his life turns around for the better, converting to Christianity and doing missionary work in Africa.
Not until he gives back does he realize the “horrific atrocities” that surround him. He decides to build an orphanage for kids; however, he needs to fight against the militia who had kidnapped many of the children to become forced soldiers in the war.
When sharing what it was like behind the scenes of the film, we realize he’s a badass on screen and off screen! During the action scenes, he got shot “three times actually.” He describes his real-life gun showdown: “It hit me in the left side of the head…so it was bleeding…[then I] get hit again with about half a centimeter.” Then another day, a “pellet hit the car, then hit me below the eye.” Can “The Bounty Hunter” actor get any more hotter!?!?
Make sure to watch Mr. Butler fight crime and terror in “Machine Gun Preacher” in theaters now!!!
