Hugh Jackman Talks Flirting With His Wife & Her Stockbroker Fantasy [AUDIO]
“Wolverwine” himself and his wife, Deborra-Lee Furness, have been married for well over ten years, and Hugh thought he’d never see the day where they’d actually get married. He remembers, “When I met her, and we were just friends, I said, ‘You’re single. How does that happen? How can you be single?'” Hugh says jokingly, “That was my very pathetic way to flirt with her. She was like, ‘Well, I know, I am marrying a stockbroker. I just have a feeling he’s going to be a stockbroker who’s really an amazing architect and who adores me.’ And I was like, ‘Okay, so you basically want someone smart, creative, and really wealthy, who adores you.’
Hugh has a lot of manly roles that call for a lot of muscle (“Wolverine”, “X-Men” series.) Well, sometimes, being so buff stirs up problems between him and his wife, especially when they’re at the beach. Hugh shares, “She says ‘Enough Already!’ We go to the beach, she is ridiculous. ‘Your job is to be fat, overweight, so that I look good.’”
When it comes to his role in the new action flick, “Real Steel,” Hugh keeps the muscles pumping for his portrayal of a retired boxer. He explains the movie by saying, “Robot boxing is now the biggest sport in the world. The action is crazy. It’s kind of really great. The story is really a father and son story.”
You can catch Hugh and all of his muscle action in this sci-fi film in theaters on October 7th!
