John Cusack Stars In Chilling Trailer For ‘The Raven’ [VIDEO]

James McTeigue‘s highly anticipated film “The Raven” isn’t due out until March 2012, but it is only appropriate that the trailer for film is released on the 162nd anniversary of Edgar Allan Poe‘s death.

New Trailer for ‘New Year’s Eve’ Features ‘More Celebrities Than Rehab’

The thriller stars John Cusack in the role of Poe, who joins forces with a young Baltimore detective, Luke Evans, to hunt down a mad serial killer who’s using Poe’s own works as the basis in a string of brutal murders. The film also stars Alice Eve, Brendan Gleeson and Oliver Jackson-Cohen.

From the looks of the trailer, we get a glimpse of “The Pit and the Pendulum,” a live burial straight from “The Cask of the Amontillado,” and a masquerade, possibly out of “The Masque of the Red Death” or “Hop-Frog.”
