It’s been seven months since Amy Heidemann and Nick Noonan — collectively Karmin — took the internet by storm with their electric YouTube cover of Chris Brown‘s “Look At Me Now.” Since then, the world really did take a look at Karmin, by watching that video just under 43 million times — that’s more views than Lady Gaga‘s “Edge of Glory” and Rihanna‘s “S&M” videos.

After being signed to Epic Records, the duo is finally unveiling their highly-anticipated debut single “Crash Your Party,” an anthem for anyone who is fed up with that one person in their life who always demands to be the center of attention. It made its radio premiere on The Elvis Duran Show Thursday, and now the song and new behind-the-scenes video has been released exclusively to RyanSeacrest.com.

“You’re gonna huff and puff and blow the whole house down/Don’t they know you’re the king of the castle/The nerve of some people/To think we’re all equal,” sings Amy, whose signature voice is reminiscent of an early Gwen Stefani from No Doubt‘s Tragic Kingdom days.

Listening closely, you can hear Nick rocking backup vocals as Amy powers through the track which samples 1991 hip hop classic, “The Choice Is Yours” by Black Sheep. As if the entire song was just a set up for Amy’s ridiculous rap skills, “Crash Your Party” closes with swag-ridden rap verse that would make Busta Rhymes beam with pride.

Merging hip hop and pop to create a “hip pop” synergy has proven successful for Karmin, as they’ve covered a wide range of urban and pop artists, including Nicki Minaj, Lady Antebellum and Bruno Mars. Now, their biggest obstacle is playing nice with others and adapting to the world of creating music with outside producers.

“It’s difficult when you go into the studio with people you’ve never worked with before, coming from eight weeks ago we were just sitting in our living room with a wooden box and a guitar and just writing raw music,” said Amy, but that’s not deterring them from creating a vision for their sound. “It’s really important to have some depth to our music. We want music that’s going to stick around.

KARMIN – “CRASH YOUR PARTY” – LYRICS

All eyes on you tonight
So let’s toast to you, you got so much to prove
And you say, everyone’s got a price
That’s how you get your way if not there’s hell to pay

You’re gonna huff and puff and blow the whole house down
Don’t they know you’re the king of the castle
The nerve of some people
To think we’re all equal
911 it’s me to the rescue
If I don’t speak who’s gonna tell you
Oh yea I gotta let you know

I’m here to crash your party
You think you’re the star of the show
But I’m about to let you know
I’m here to crash your party
The bigger you are the harder you fall, oh you had it all
Before I crashed your party
Who do you think you are, a super STAR?
Who do you think you are, you can kiss my oh my gah!

You’re so misunderstood
Cause you’re so complex, you and your complex
and you claim your so low key
Well you coulda fooled me, Mister TMZ

Come on show em how you huff and puff and blow the whole house down
Don’t ‘they know you’re the king of the castle
They nerve of some people
To think we’re all equal
911 it’s me to the rescue
If I don’t speak who’s gonna tell you
Oh yea I gotta let you know

CHORUS

Sittin’ on the top of the world you got the best view
Livin’ life with a cheat sheet, nobody test you, huh?
Your mind is a mess, heart is a chess piece
Movin’ down the board now I’m takin’ down the king of the castle
While I’m on top of this beat I dazzle
How could you ever conceive I’d razzle up – ’nuff of that beef
Now I’m gonna tweak out – Now you better peace out
Cause I gotta full house, yeah baby
Four of a kind, there’s no room in my life for an ego your size

CHORUS

And if anyone’s feeling a little nostalgic for some Black Sheep after listening to “Crash Your Party,” we’ve got you covered:
