Hope Solo Almost Quit ‘Dancing With The Stars’ After Incident With Maksim [AUDIO]
Soccer star and “Dancing With The Stars” contestant Hope Solo called in to “On Air with Ryan Seacrest” on Monday to talk about the drama between her and dance partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy and to address the rumor that she will be retiring from soccer.
If you watched “Dancing With The Stars” last week, you saw Maks forcefully shove Hope during an intense rehearsal session. Well, Hope wanted us to know that she did not let his actions go unnoticed. She has addressed the incident with Maks and he knows that he was in the wrong.
“I almost quit the show right then and there. I almost walked out, but I told myself I am in this for the long haul, through all the bumps and bruises, through all the challenges. Maks knew exactly where I stood with it and he knows that it could never happen again,” Hope tells us. “I did everything I could for our fans to not let it get the best of me. I did whatever I needed to do to control myself and to handle it outside of the camera’s.”
Hope also set the record straight that she will not be retiring from soccer. “If anybody believes that, then they got to be a bit crazy. I got another World Cup to go after and win,” she exclaims.
“Dancing with the Stars” is on Monday night’s at 8/7c and Tuesday night’s at 9/8c on ABC.
