Shailene Woodley Was Rejected By Trader Joe’s [AUDIO]
Shailene Woodley, star of the hit ABC Family show The Secret Life of the American Teenager, called in to “On Air with Ryan Seacrest” Friday to talk about her recent Golden Globe nomination for The Descendants, as well as revealed what she wants for Christmas.
The Descendants has received five Golden Globe nominations, including nods for actor George Clooney, supporting actress Shailene Woodley, and the film itself. Shailene admits, “I’ve never been down this awards path so I have zero expectations. I’m in shock, and I’m so grateful.”
However the young actress confesses that “over hiatus, between seasons two and three of The Secret Life, I got a job at American Apparel. I didn’t have to work there, but I wanted to. I actually don’t like clothes. I’m not a big clothing person. But I applied to a bunch of different places, and they were the only one to accept my application. Trader Joe‘s rejected me!”
However what would the Golden Globe nominee most like to see nestled under the Christmas tree? “I would love a juicer for Christmas. I don’t have one right now. I have a vitamix which I use every single day, but it’s so much fiber. So I think a juicer would be good too,” laughs the starlet. “The real secret life of the American teenager is that….she’s thirty! That’s the secret!” jokes Ryan.
