5 Great New Year’s Resolutions You Should Consider
Whether you believe it or not, it’s January, and the year is already upon us. This means it’s time to start reflecting on the past year and begin looking into your future. Here are the top 5 New Year’s resolutions you should set for yourself to improve your mind, body and overall life.
1. Hit The Gym!
Probably one of the most popular new year’s resolutions EVER. But, it’s true. There’s nothing like getting a head start on your summer bikini bod during the winter time when most people tend to hibernate. Whether you go in the morning, or evening, set a time and go 3-5 times a week. You will feel a difference! Working out increases you energy, improves your mood, and toning up never hurt anyone! 2. Make Time for Yourself
Whether you go to church or start taking a yoga class, having time for yourself is sometimes crucial to stay sane in today’s society. With the hustle and bustle of everyday life, people get so tied up with school, work, family, friends etc. Don’t forget to take some time every day for yourself to pray, reflect or even read a book.
3. Set Goals
Tired of being just an “average” student or bored with your mediocre job? Change it! Make yourself over, work on your resume, submit to a new job. Or if you’re a student, start taking school more seriously and really think about what you want your career to be. Take up an extracurricular activities – You never know what you may discover about yourself.
4. Be Proactive
Are you known as the “flake” of the group” – Saying you want to go, then end up sleeping at home? Make it a pact to yourself to not say “No” – Become more open minded, try new things. Go rock climbing or sky diving or horse riding. Try something new! It’s a great way to stay active and possibly discover new hobbies.
5. Save Money
Ever complain about never having money… for anything? Do something about it. Set an amount per week or month that you want to save. Have it deducted from your account at the beginning of the month and forget about it. Make sure to check the account after 6 months and you’ll see how much you’ve accumulated and maybe it you can treat yourself to something you’ve always wanted, never were able to afford.
