January 5, 2012 3:50 pm

Dear Kanye West, will you ever run out of things to say? Someone really needs to give Kanye his own talk show. Or maybe he should schedule national speeches Obama style. In case you missed it, Kanye took to Twitter last night for an epic 91 message Tweet session that covered everything from his Grammy nominations to his new company DONDA to his strong passion for fashion.

We’ve broken down the first Kanye Twitter rant of 2012 for your viewing pleasure and so your brain doesn’t have to hurt trying to figure out everything the chatty rapper was trying to say. Enjoy!

Wednesday, 1 p.m.

Kanye begins his Twitter manifesto by clearing up reports that the women’s fashion line he debuted back in October in Paris is not called DW.

  • “The name of the line is Kanye West not DW…The Dw was a design element placed on the invite in homage to my mom : )”

Wednesday, 7 p.m.

Kanye takes a philosophy break and gets deep on us with a quote from Leonardo Da Vinci.

  • “Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication” – Leonardo Da Vinci

Wednesday, 9 p.m.

Kanye reveals he’s ridin’ solo and currently has no agency representation for his music due to Cara Lewis’ decision to leave the agency William Morris.
  • “More clarity… I have no agency representing me currently… William Morris was fired after Cara lewis quit. I love Cara Lewis : )”
Wednesday, 11 p.m.
Kanye begins to preach his passion for fashion. He “loves” being back at his “fashion office learning and creating.” He reveals that the money he makes from us playing “N***** in Paris” 24/7 and forking over our wallets for ‘Watch The Throne’ tour tickets makes his fashion lines possible.
  • “You guys might think I have some type of backing for my line but I don’t.”
  • “I did the first fashion show out of my own pocket and used the money I made touring to follow my passion.”
Wednesday, 12 a.m.
At the stroke of midnight for America and the stroke of 5 a.m. in London where Yeezy is tweeting from, his creative brain has him going crazy with thoughts. The rapper gone fashion designer reveals his undercover internship for Fendi amidst his contractual obligations to Louis Vuitton, his designing sessions with shoemaker Giuseppe Zanotti and his fashion rendezvous with Azzedine Alaia. The rapper was also globetrotting at the time, living in Japan, Rome and Paris. He admits the language barrier sometimes made it difficult for him to do work.
Kanye also comments on his opportunity to Air Yeezys for Nike. He says he was allowed to create one pair of shoes every two years but that the agreement wasn’t enough. He goes on to reminisce about his mother’s fashion and how even as a child he loved expensive furs and clothing.
Yet his fame hasn’t always allowed him to fully achieve his design dreams.
  • Being a celebrity has afforded me many opportunities but has also boxed me in creatively.
  • I was just discussing becoming the creative director for the Jetson movie and someone on the call yelled out… you should do a Jetsons tour!
  • This just happened a few hours ago. I was very insulted of course because for anyone that’s seen the Watch The Throne Tour…
  • Or Coachella or Glow in the Dark or Runaway…you know I have real ideas…
What Kanye rant would be complete without a Grammy mention? The singer comments that he’s thankful for having the most nominations this year but he still isn’t sure whether the public loves or hates him. He acknowledges that he wouldn’t have the prestige he has gained without Grammy wins though.
Kanye then announces the formation of his 22-division company named DONDA after his mother Donda West.
  • DONDA is a design company which will galvanize amazing thinkers and put them in a creative space to bounce there dreams and ideas…
  • DONDA will be comprised of over 22 divisions with a goal to make products and experiences that people want and can afford…
Thursday, 1 a.m.
The DONDA announcement continues. Kanye admits that he cares about his fans and even people who have never heard of him. He wants to change music and design in a totally new way.
  • The Watch the Throne tour was a small example of what a Donda Experience can be…
  • I’m currently working on a new 7 screen experience LINK
  • This one of our projects to be released this year called 2016 OLYMPIC’s…It’s semi sci-fi since 2016 is only 4 years away : )
  • We would also like to design the MTV awards
Kanye then goes on to share his feelings about the educational system and his beliefs that “schools should be designed to prep humans for real life.” He says the he and Otis music video director Spike Jonze want to create a summer school with the type of curriculum that resembles colleges with majors rather than forcing kids to study things they don’t care about or won’t use.
  • We need to take what Michael Jackson felt and Mcqueen and Steve Jobs and we need make things better…
  • When me and Jay toured… every night I peered into the audience astonished by the different walks of life that came to support us.
Kanye believes we need to take inspiration from the greats like Steve Jobs, Michael Jackson and Alexander McQueen to create change in the world. He cares so much about his music and fashion that he hasn’t even bought a new car or piece of jewelry in roughly 2 years!
Thursday, 2 a.m.
Kanye finally ends his Twitter speech with three parting Tweets:
  • I just wanted to share what’s been on my mind…
  • “If you have an apple and I have an apple and we exchange these apples then you and I will still each have one apple….
  • ….But if you have an idea and I have an idea and we exchange these ideas, then each of us will have two ideas.” – George Bernard Shaw
Kanye West out!
