Randy Jackson called in to “On Air with Ryan Seacrest” to talk about the two hour season premiere of “American Idol” and to announce that he has become an ordained minister with hopes of marrying fellow ‘Idol’ judge Steven Tyler to Erin Brady. The Reverend Randy Jackson says:
“Steven Tyler got engaged. I just congratulated him a little bit ago. I also informed him that I went online and got ordained as a minister. I could perform his ceremony!”
Season 11 of “American Idol” begins tonight 8/9 ct with the audition process in Savannah and Pittsburgh. Randy is excited that “people that would have never auditioned for the show actually showed up! People have the misconception that this is just a pop show, but you got R&B, Jazz, there are some kids with a hip-hop flavor, of course we have country. I just love the variety.”
