Justin Bieber Performs ‘Rockin Robin’ at Michael Jackson Tribute [VIDEO]
Justin Bieber as the next King of Pop may be a bold statement, but a lot of his fans are now calling him the Prince of Pop.
The young artist was invited to join the late King of Pop’s kids Prince, Paris and Blanket Jackson at the Grauman’s Chinese Theater this Thursday to honor Michael Jackson’s impact on the music industry. Jackson’s mother Katherine, and his brothers Tito and Jackie were also present. Michael Jackson’s infamous sequined glove and shoes were imprinted on a cement slab, forever engraved much like his music.
Paris wrote Jackson’s name and placed a heart in the middle of the two names.
Earlier this week, Justin tweeted, “Honoring the greatest @michaeljackson this week. He set the bar for all of us. #MJFOREVER.”
Several performances were held, including Justin’s who sang “Rockin’ Robin”.
“Michael meant so much to me. I know he meant a lot to you guys as well. He was more than an entertainer. He was an inspiration. The way he was kind, gentle, he was very charitable. And that’s why I look up to him. I think that people are going to remember him for his dancing, for his singing, but people have to remember him for being the man he was,” he said.
“@ParisJackson thanks for having me today and the things you said. Your dad will always be my mentor. His career is all I study. #THEGREATEST,” Justin said on Twitter, after the event.
