Naya Rivera Is A ‘Smooth Criminal’ On Next Week’s ‘Glee’ [VIDEOS]
So here’s what you might have missed on Glee: they’re doing a Michael Jackson tribute episode! The television show has done many honorary eps before, but it’s time to pull out the big guns for the King of Pop. Naya Rivera‘s character Santana, and rival Warbler Sebastian, played by Grant Gustin, battle it out while belting an intense cover of “Smooth Criminal.”
The two fierce singers circle each other while the celloists duke it out in the middle. Naya and Grant really bring the heat, glaring at each other and singing their hearts out, and the musicians look pretty mean as they shred up their bows.
They are Croatians Luka Sulic and Stjepan Hauser, and according to their Facebook page they used to be rivals before joining together to create 2Cellos. Their video for “Smooth Criminal” went viral last year, and inspired the room full of chairs that makes the Glee stand-off so ferocious.
Below you can check out the full performance of “Smooth Criminal” before it airs on Glee next Tuesday, January 31st at 8 PM. Then take a look at the “Making Of” video and the original 2Cellos performance that put Luka and Stjepan on the map!
