The Wanted Perform ‘Glad You Came’ In Studio for Ryan Seacrest [VIDEO]
The Wanted stopped by the “On Air with Ryan Seacrest” studio on Monday and talked about opening for Britney Spears, having Mike Tyson as a fan and announced that their hit single “Glad you Came” will be featured on an episode of “Glee.” Most importantly the boys performed an acoustic version of their breakout single “Glad You Came” while in studio for Ryan.
British/Irish boy band The Wanted has been around the in the U.K. for the past couple of years, but they have only been in America for three weeks and they already have made their television debut on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” and have a hit single on their hands. Well, they recently got more exciting news, “We got a phone call saying that ‘Glee’ wants to cover ‘Glad You Came,'” one of the band members tells us. Buy “Glad You Came.”
The Wanted has a lot of fans and a quite a Twitter following. However, one of their fans is not someone you might expect. Apparently, Mike Tyson got in touch with Justin Bieber‘s manager, “He wanted to take us out in Vegas,” they say. What do the guys think of a night on the town with the boxing champ? One of the guys tells us, “As long as he didn’t hit me, I think it would be great!”
The band has also had the chance to open for some pretty big names. “We opened for Britney Spears in Manchester and we opened for Bieber in Brazil and in the U.K.,” they say. And what did they guys think of Brit Brit’s show? “It was awesome, we enjoyed it.”
