Listen to Norah Jones’ ‘Happy Pills’ ft. Danger Mouse [AUDIO]
Norah Jones’ jazzy lounge voice sounds phenomenal on her smooth new track “Happy Pills,” co-written and produced by Danger Mouse. You might not recognize that name, but you’ve heard his music before– he and Cee-Lo Green make up the band Gnarls Barkley.
“You broke all the rules / I won’t be a fool for you no more / Please just let me go now,” sings Jones on the first single off her upcoming album Little Broken Hearts, out May 1st. The lyrics might make it sound like she’s heartbroken, but the track is breezy and mellow, perfect for an afternoon drive with the windows down.
After winning 8 Grammy awards in 2003 including Best New Artist, the 32-year-old has mostly been MIA from the mainstream music scene, but this radio-friendly tune might put her center stage again! Take a listen below to “Happy Pills.”
